Friends of Scouting

Many of you have seen the 2010 Friends of Scouting presentation at a recent Blue and Gold or Court of Honor. Those of you, who made a pledge, thank you. If you have not yet pledged, there is still time to help make a difference in our community. An online version of the pledge card is available here. You can either print it out and mail it to the council office or send it via email.

Our Council serves our area through the support of our community and does not receive funding from the National Council or the government. The largest portion of our funding comes from you.

The Friends of Scouting program represents about 29% of the total income stream for the council and is the largest single source.

These are difficult times and many scouting families are struggling. Now more than ever, it's vital that we all pull together and make a commitment to keep this great program going strong.

Those of us who have been involved in scouting for many years can easily cite countless examples where scouting has been there at a critical junction in a young person's life and provided opportunities for development of strong values and leadership. Without the influence of scouting, the future of many of these young adults could have been very different.

Scouting does make a difference.

Even a small amount can make a difference in the ability to deliver this great program.

You can donate online here or on www.circle10.org by clicking the donate button on the left side of the page.

Here is a link (very large pdf file) to the brochure with more information if you don't have it.

Thank you for your support.
