The Dallas Fly Fishers is sponsoring a Fly Fishing Event on Saturday February 11, 2012 at the Raptor Center in Lucas, Texas. The Dallas Fly Fishers is inviting troops with interested Boy Scouts that want to learn the basics of fly fishing required to obtain the fly fishing merit badge.
The Raptor Center is located in Lucas, Texas at Brockdale Park on the shores or Lake Lavon. This is a gated park with large spaces for camping and a 1 acre pond that is stocked with cat fish, sunfish and Bass. As many as 120 scouts have camped out at the park on weekends. The park has pavilions, toilet facilities, city water and large parking spaces. Here are the details for the Fly Fishing Event.
